A catch-all mailbox is one that captures all the emails sent to nonexistent email addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone miswrites it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Just one mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and thus you’ll never miss emails because the other side has an out-of-date email address or has made a mistake. The drawback of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving plenty of spam email messages, but this issue can be solved by using an anti-spam filtering solution. It is also essential to know that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot redirect incoming messages to a 3rd-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

In case you have a Linux shared package with us and you wish to enable the catch-all functionality for a specific mailbox that you’ve got in the web hosting account, it will take literally just a single click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to do that. A catch-all button is available next to each email address that you have set up under any domain name registered in the account. You can pick one address per domain by clicking the corresponding button. This will enable the feature straight away, so all messages sent to mistyped email addresses will be delivered there. Clicking the button for a second time will turn off the catch-all feature. In case you have enabled email forwarding, our system will exhibit a cautionary note and you won’t be able to enable the catch-all feature unless you disable the forwarding or you can simply pick some other mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all functionality can be activated without effort if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you have created using the domains hosted in the semi-dedicated server account will be enumerated in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you will find a mini symbol conveniently located directly next to each one. With just one mouse click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with this option already enabled and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable the feature using the menu that will come into sight. In case any of the prerequisites for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will warn you, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
